Kunle Afolayan is one of Nigeria’s foremost 2nd generation filmmakers. As a multi-award-winning actor, producer, and director, his works have transcended the boundaries, producing a fresh crop of new Nigerian cinematography that raises the bar with regards to what the world expects of the Nigerian Film Industry.

In his commitment to self-improvement and professional excellence, Kunle enrolled at the New York Film Academy in 2005, and thereafter began his first full-length movie; Irapada which gave credence to the unique ability and versatility of Kunle Afolayan as an Actor, Producer and Co-director. Kunle shows a unique yet exceptional display of knowledge by paying utmost attention to details and giving a more creative interpretation to African stories.

Born out of his desire to see the Nollywood industry excel both locally and internationally, the KAP film and television academy was founded, to produce the next generation of film and television makers. A visionary with a thirst for results, Kunle Afolayan has taken it upon himself to tutor young people, on a global standard of filmmaking, refining their minds into one that can produce results that will one day compete on an international level.

Alongside veterans in the industry, the students will be taught the key aspects of movie making. Topics of study include Producing, Directing, Production design, cinematography, screenwriting, Editing Sound, and Business of film.
